Somatics is about how your thoughts, emotions, and trauma live inside your body—not just your brain.
When something painful happens and you don’t process it, your body stores it. In your:

→ Muscles
→ Organs
→ Cells ... we know now that the root cause of most modern disease is stress
You might not remember the moment. But your body does.
Decades of research led Dr. Bessel van der Kolk to a powerful conclusion—so powerful, he named his book after it: The Body Keeps the Score.
When this energy gets stuck, it shows up as:
→ Anxiety
→ Mood swings
→ Digestive issues
→ Tension in your jaw, belly, or chest
→ Feeling numb, stuck, or constantly overwhelmed
→ Autoimmune symptoms
But when you breathe deeply and move with presence, gently …
You create safety. You release. You shift.
Science shows somatic practices can:
