Why you let your fear of pain run the show

The human brain is wired to seek pleasure, avoid pain, and be as efficient as possible.

This means, Test, it’s totally understandable if you're addicted to your phone, Netflix, food or porn … (srsly, this is a judgment-free zone!)

And it makes sense if you're finding it excruciating to take responsibility for having the difficult conversations at work or at home that might give you clarity or set you free ‘cause you can't handle your so-called negative emotions …

And that you keep doing the same dumb shit over and over again even though you're fully aware that it’s not serving you!! (We’ve ALL been there.)

This is why no one can really be blamed for getting caught in a rut.

If you haven’t been taught to do otherwise …

If you’ve never been through a true initiation into manhood / womanhood / adulthood / sovereignty …

... Then it’s likely gonna take a spontaneous spiritual awakening, a terrible accident, or a dark night of the soul to snap you out of it.

And if that doesn’t happen, then you have to reach the point where enough is fucking enough and you decide you cannot! will not! live like this anymore!

Sometimes I have to watch my clients squirm SO hard in their self-made misery that they look like they’re literally gonna crawl out of their skin before they overcome the fear of feeling bad (‘cause they finally realize they already feel terrible, so what have they got to lose?!?) before they will take action to change.

And that’s ok. It’s what I’m here for.

But it’s CRAZZZZZY to watch – and I have so much compassion because I’ve been in this position too – where the fear of immediate pain keeps you from doing the thing that you know will alleviate the pain in the long run.

What our primitive brains don’t understand is that in order to get what we want, we HAVE TO FEEL THE PAIN.

And only then can we transmute it.

Only then can we turn it into something more generative and useful.

I’ve watched so many leaders allow the fear to keep them frozen.

Fear that making the decision they really want to make will only lead to more pain.

If you’re letting the fear of the feelings keep you from making the changes you want to make, there’s only one way to get this engine jump-started.

And that is to FEEL the fear and do it anyway.

Seriously, what have you got to lose if you’re already in pain?

Fear and pain are REALLY important parts of our human experience.

And when you’re willing to learn to accept that they are neither good or bad, but literally just vibrations in your body, you reclaim your POWER from them.

I’d love to show you how.

Many of you have been circling the Emotional Release process for a while—reading about it, hearing me mention it, wondering if it’s really as powerful as people say?

This is your moment to find out for yourself.

We’re doing it live on Wednesday, August 21 inside the Fuck the Hustle community.

You’ll be guided through the exact process I use with private clients to release stuck energy, regulate your nervous system, and finally move the needle on the things that keep looping in your head.

It’s raw. It’s powerful. It’s real.

And you don’t have to do it alone.

Join the FTH community now and get access to the session—free with your first month. No long-term commitment. Cancel anytime if it’s not for you.

But I KNOW once you feel the shift … you’ll understand exactly why this practice changes lives.
