I tried it all when I was trying to figure out how to transition from corporate to running my own business …

The 5am Club.

Every productivity guru's "perfect" routine.

Because here's the truth nobody wants to admit:

You can't optimize your way out of depletion.

Adding MORE to your morning when you're already running on empty?

That's not self-care.

That's self-punishment with better marketing.

Here's what actually works for sustainable energy:

**Stop adding. Start subtracting.**

Instead of a 27-step morning routine, try this:

→ Sleep until your body wakes up (revolutionary, I know)

→ Don't touch your phone for at least 30 minutes

→ Move your body in whatever way feels good

→ Eat something that actually nourishes you

That's it.

No ice baths.

No HIIT.

No TO-DO lists.

No "winning the morning."

ust basic human needs being met.

Because sustainable energy doesn't come from perfecting your morning.

It comes from:

- Work that feeds your soul

- Boundaries that protect your nervous system

- Rest that's actually restorative

- A life that doesn't require military-level discipline to survive

My morning routine now?

Wake up without an alarm.

Stretch it out.

Sit in meditation.

Tea facing the sun with bare feet on the ground.

Start when I'm ready.

THEN set the intentions.

No optimization.

No tracking.

No trying to "crush it" before 10am.

And I have more energy at 3pm than I ever did with my "perfect" 4am routine.

Now, don’t get me wrong – I *love* waking up before the sun and before the world starts churning. It’s the most peaceful time of day. Amazing for deep thinking and intuition work.. But I do it when my body and soul want it … not because I think I *need* to. See the difference there?
