Time to Hit the RESET Button
Do you ever get to the middle of the year and think:
Wait ... how did I get here?
You’re technically fine.
But also ... not.
You’re tired. Uninspired. Over it.
The to-do list never ends. Your energy’s weird.
Everything’s “okay”—but it all feels a little off.
If you’ve been fantasizing about quitting your job, blowing up your life, or disappearing into a cabin in the woods …
You’re not alone.
But you don’t need to blow it all up.
You just need an intentional reset.
What Is a Reset, Really?
Not a vacation.
Not a massage.
Not rearranging your furniture hoping it magically fixes your life.
A real reset happens inside your system.
It clears emotional backlog, nervous system overload, and subconscious chaos that keeps you stuck in the loop of:
Over-function → Burn out → Numb out → Repeat
Resetting means:
Turning down the noise
Reconnecting to your body’s signals
Making clear decisions without the drama
Finally hearing your own inner yes (or no) again
Why We Break Down
We live in a culture that runs on performance and overdrive.
So most of us are walking around like overworked laptops—running 37 tabs, 12 background apps, and wondering why we’re glitching.
The signs your system needs a reset?
Decision fatigue
Constant overthinking
Exploding at minor things
Brain fog and body tension
Chronic “meh”
A deep sense that you’re not where you’re meant to be—but no idea what’s next
If your body feels like it’s buffering ... this is your sign.
How to Hit the RESET Button
(Without Disappearing Into the wild)
You don’t need to escape your life.
You need to interrupt the burnout cycle.
Here’s how to start:
1. Clear the Cache
Just like a device gets bogged down by stored junk, so do you.
Take 30 minutes. Journal or voice note answers to these:
What am I still carrying that I don’t need anymore?
Whose expectations am I trying to live up to?
What stories or roles feel heavy right now?
Name them. Release them. Allow the energy to move through your body.
You can’t reset what you’re unwilling to acknowledge.
(Don’t know, technically, how to do this? I got you … the ER process walks you through it step-by-step! If you don't already have access to it, let me know, I'll send you the link!)
2. Shut Down the Background Programs
What’s draining your energy behind the scenes?
People-pleasing
Constant multitasking
“Just in case” anxiety
Micro-decisions you're trying to control
Do a body scan. Notice where the tension is.
Then give yourself permission to stop acting calm—and actually start feeling calm.
Breathwork. Laughter. A walk with no devices.
One small choice that says: I am not available for this loop anymore.
3. Reconnect to Your Power Source
When’s the last time you felt your intuition?
Not just “had a hunch,” but trusted it. Acted on it. Let it lead.
The reset happens when you stop outsourcing your truth.
Close the tabs. Log out from the noise.
Breathe out, and ask yourself:
>> What do I know—without needing a single other person’s opinion?
The answer might be subtle. But it’s there. And it’s yours.
From there, you can ask: What else do I know? ... follow the thread. See where it leads you.
4. Restore Your Energy (Not Just Your Calendar)
Energy isn’t about time management.
To rebuild your energy, you have to understand where it’s leaking:
→ Boundaries too loose?
→ Emotions unprocessed?
→ Health taking a back seat?
→ Too much “doing,” not enough “being”?
Each day, choose one thing that actually restores you:
Taking a nap without guilt
Moving your body because it feels good, not because you “should”
Saying no
Screaming into a damn pillow if that’s what your nervous system needs
Your body knows what will help you reset—
But you have to slow down enough to hear it.
Resetting Is a Skill We Can All Master
You don’t have to hit rock bottom to course-correct.
You don’t have to keep pushing until your body gives out or your life breaks open.
You can choose now.
To pause.
To reassess.
To breathe.
To reset.
No, this isn’t magic.
But it is sacred.
And it’s so damn possible.
Even now.
Especially now.
